Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team, providing care to dogs, cats, bearded dragons, snakes, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, and other exotic animals. Opened in 1989, it is one of the area's largest exotic and avian clinics, operating from a spacious facility with separate areas for each species and offering a wide range of medical, surgical, and advanced diagnostic services.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a balanced 4-day workweek and rotating Saturdays. The hospital is open Monday from 9 AM - 8 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 AM - 6 PM, Thursday is closed, Friday from 9 AM - 6 PM, Saturday from 9 AM - 2 PM, and Sunday is closed.

Role Description and Responsibilities
An Associate Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to a varied caseload of patients. They conduct thorough examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities include performing routine surgical procedures, delivering preventive care and vaccinations, managing medical cases, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records in line with regulatory standards. The role also involves communicating clearly and compassionately with clients, collaborating with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care, and participating in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical excellence. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
Opened in 1989, this is one of the area's largest exotic and avian clinics, operating from a spacious facility with separate areas for each species. The hospital provides wellness and sick visits, surgery including orthopedics, and advanced diagnostics such as blood work, X-rays, and a new ultrasound. Surgical services include spays and neuters, emergency surgery, lump and mass removal, abdominal surgery, splenectomy, and orthopedic surgeries. The practice supports a collaborative, learning-focused team culture, keeps things fun with weekly games, and remains community-minded through rescue partnerships.

Team
The team consists of 1 DVM supported by 8 support staff, fostering a collaborative environment where teamwork, shared learning, and high-quality patient care are prioritized.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
