Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Full Time Medical Director to lead both the clinical and operational success of the practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine while leading by example and driving standards of care forward.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday from 8 am - 6 pm, Tuesday from 8 am - 8 pm, Wednesday from 8 am - 4 pm, Thursday from 8 am - 6 pm, Friday from 8 am - 1 pm, and every other Saturday from 8 am - noon.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As the Managing DVM, you will play a vital role in both the clinical and operational success of the practice. Responsibilities include providing medical and non-medical leadership within the hospital, managing and mentoring associate veterinarians, ensuring compliance with all veterinary medical policies and regulations, cultivating a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement, driving medical excellence and advancing standards of care, collaborating with hospital leadership on operational decisions, monitoring financial performance, and helping set strategic goals for continued growth. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on clinical practice and leadership influence, making it ideal for an experienced veterinarian excited to take ownership of both patient outcomes and team development.

Practice Details
The hospital operates in a well-equipped environment featuring digital radiology, a full in-house laboratory, MLS laser, digitherm scanners, and a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine installed in September 2006, with an ultrasound scheduled to be added later this year. Day-to-day services include surgery, dentistry, cardiology, and routine or acute exams, supporting a broad and varied caseload.

Team
The team consists of 1 DVM supported by a tremendous support staff who receive monthly training to ensure their skills remain current and sharp, fostering a culture of continuous development and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
