Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their comprehensive small animal and exotic practice. The hospital provides care for pets through a wide spectrum of services within a state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited facility equipped to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions for companion animals and exotic species.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while remaining closed on Sundays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing veterinary care using advanced diagnostic tools, including in-house x-ray and ultrasound, and delivering services such as dentistry, clinical trials, diagnostics and imaging, house calls, I-131 therapy for hyperthyroid cats, and in-patient care. The position includes managing pain and inflammation through low-level laser procedures and working collaboratively to support comprehensive healthcare for pets.
Practice Details
The hospital is a 6,000-square-foot AAHA-accredited facility equipped with in-house x-ray and ultrasound, a fully stocked pharmacy, and specialized capabilities including I-131 treatment for hyperthyroid cats and low-level laser therapy. Services offered include avian and exotic pet care, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, clinical trials, house calls, I-131 therapy, and in-patient care. The hospital culture emphasizes providing all healthcare needs under one roof using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, rehabilitation options, and access to specialists when required.
Team
The hospital has 12 DVMs. The team consists of skilled professionals committed to providing thorough, compassionate, and comprehensive veterinary care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
