Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem Per Diem Pharmacists are needed immediately to support a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patients in Grove City, OH. This role focuses on providing exceptional medication management and consultation for patients taking multiple medications daily. Candidates with strong retail or specialty pharmacy experience, particularly in chronic disease management, will excel in this position. Key Responsibilities: Dispense and review complex medication regimens for patients managing multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis. Provide thorough patient counseling with compassion, patience, and clear communication tailored to individuals with low literacy and diverse needs. Utilize Pioneer Rx software to accurately process and manage prescriptions. Support pharmacy operations Monday through Friday as needed to cover seasonal vacation periods. Desired Qualifications: Active Pharmacy license in Ohio. Proven experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, preferably with complex, chronic disease state management. Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 commonly prescribed retail medications. Excellent consultation and communication skills with the ability to engage patients who require extra care and attention. Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid patient populations is advantageous.
