Job Summary:

This position is responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, maintaining project schedules, supervising field personnel, and ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with federal construction and safety guidelines. The role works closely with project management, subcontractors, inspectors, and government representatives to deliver successful project outcomes.
As a Construction Quality Control Manager, You Will:
- Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring work progress according to project schedules, contract documents, and federal quality standards.
- Supervise and direct field personnel and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with high-quality workmanship.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed construction schedules, including three-week look-ahead schedules to align teams and project milestones.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure construction work meets all design and compliance standards.
- Implement and enforce site safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and the Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 safety manual.
- Coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs), project documentation, inspections, and communication between project teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions to maintain schedule and budget performance.
- Order materials, coordinate deliveries, and schedule inspections to ensure continuous workflow and proper project sequencing.
- Maintain a well-organized job site while fostering strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and project team members.
- Oversee project closeout activities including final punch list completion and coordination of final inspections with government contracting officials and engineers.
Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience supervising commercial or federal construction projects.
- Experience working on DoD or federal government construction contracts.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction contract documents.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing field teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to coordinate multiple project activities while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule performance.
- Knowledge of Army Corps Safety Manual EM 385-1-1 and federal project safety standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30 and CPR / First Aid certifications required
- Army Corps of Engineers Quality Control Manager (CQC) Certification required
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
