Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited, full-service animal practice. This small animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care and is the only full-service animal hospital in the area, offering a broad range of advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic services. They are welcoming veterinarians of all experience levels, including new graduates and seasoned DVMs, to join their growing and collaborative team during an exciting phase of expansion.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position working four days per week with no on-call or weekend requirements, supporting a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal care including preventative and wellness services, vaccinations, dermatology, diagnostics, dentistry, general surgery, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, and pain management. Surgical responsibilities may include spay and neuter procedures, mass removal, bladder stone removal, cherry eye correction, anal gland removal, foreign body removal, exploratory surgery, fracture repair, bone plating, tibial tuberosity advancement, ACL repair, and joint pin repair. The role also includes utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to support case workups and treatment planning. Mentorship is available for new graduates, and experienced veterinarians are equally encouraged to apply, with support provided for professional interests and growth.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital is equipped with advanced technology including dental x-rays, digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, electrocardiography, therapeutic ultrasound, CO2 laser surgery, laser therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic services. The clinic offers board-certified small animal surgical services and provides care across preventative medicine, advanced diagnostics, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, pain management, dermatology, emergencies, euthanasia, and spinal manipulative therapy. The culture is collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong focus on advanced medicine, technology, and delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment.
Team
The hospital team includes five DVMs supported by a highly skilled technical team. The environment emphasizes teamwork, smooth daily workflow, and a positive office culture, allowing veterinarians to focus on delivering excellent patient care within a supportive and growth-oriented setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
