Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited, dog and cat-exclusive companion animal practice. This well-established full-service small animal hospital has been serving the community since 1991 and is focused on delivering individualized, compassionate care to every patient. They are looking for a motivated and communicative DVM to become part of their collaborative and supportive team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with Saturday hours varying and Sunday closed. The ideal schedule is four days per week, though fewer days will be considered. Flexible scheduling is offered with a strong focus on quality of life and maintaining balance outside of work.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to companion animals. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, general surgery, and dentistry. The role involves spending meaningful time with clients, providing education, and developing strong, long-term relationships. Collaboration is encouraged, with doctors supporting one another on complex cases. The practice also works closely with board-certified surgeons for orthopedic and complex surgical procedures, and specialty diagnostics such as abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography are available by appointment. This position is suited to a compassionate communicator who values teamwork and high-quality medicine.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental services. The facility is well equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiology, and in-house laboratory equipment including CBC and chemistry analyzers. Additional services include in-house diagnostic testing, pharmacy services, hospitalization, and access to specialty imaging such as ultrasound and echocardiography performed by specialized veterinarians. The hospital emphasizes individualized patient care, thorough client communication, and maintaining a positive and engaged workplace culture that supports both staff wellbeing and excellent patient outcomes.

Team
The team includes five DVMs, nine certified veterinary technicians, three veterinary assistants, a groomer, and three client service representatives. The technicians average ten years of experience within the clinic, contributing to a highly skilled and cohesive support team. The culture is close-knit and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, mutual support, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance for all staff members.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
