We're currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Estimator located in Dallas, TX .
Position Overview:
CMTS is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support major aviation and airport infrastructure projects in the Dallas Texas region. This role focuses on preparing cost estimates and budget analysis for aviation capital improvement programs, airport terminal construction, airfield projects, and airport facilities. The Estimator works closely with program managers, project managers, engineers, and design teams to develop reliable project budgets and cost projections for complex aviation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting airport construction programs, aviation infrastructure projects, or large transportation capital programs.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
- 5 to 10 years of construction estimating experience
- Experience preparing cost estimates for commercial construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimating
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines

- Microsoft Excel
- Cost estimating software platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aviation construction or airport capital improvement program experience strongly preferred
- Experience estimating airport terminals, runway or taxiway construction, airfield infrastructure, or airport facilities
- Experience working on major hub airport programs such as DFW Airport
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for aviation construction projects including airport terminals, airfield improvements, and support facilities
- Develop conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction level estimates
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications for airport infrastructure projects
- Analyze construction costs including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Review contractor bids and proposals for compliance with project scope and budget expectations
- Support airport capital program budgeting and cost forecasting
- Provide value engineering recommendations for aviation construction projects
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to refine project scope and cost estimates
- Maintain historical cost data for aviation construction and airport infrastructure
- Assist project teams with cost risk analysis and budget monitoring

Bonus Pay:
