Shop Mechanic - Q3C CO

We are actively hiring an experienced Mechanic who has proficient mechanical abilities and a strong drive to learn. This position requires being skilled in repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment including engines, motors, light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as off-road equipment, trailers, generators, and compressors. Responsibilities include performing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test their performance. Looks for maintenance issues that may need repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance, operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Repair light electrical on equipment.
• Looks for maintenance issues needing repairs.
• Perform miscellaneous welding, cutting and fabrication as needed, is not required.
• Able to properly use diagnostic equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of shop experience
• CDL – Class A
• Certifications in Forklift Operations, DOT, 609, and/or A/C.

Job Requirements:

• High School/GED, Technical School
• A Valid Driver’s License is required.
