Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in pursuing and achieving ISO 9001 certification.
  • Manage all quality-related issues within manufacturing (internal, supplier, customer, and warranty).
  • Identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain control plans and associated documentation.
  • Monitor and report quality KPIs including scrap, rework, and PPM metrics.
  • Stop production when unacceptable goods or processes are identified.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions and develop product layup instructions.
  • Assist with training and promote quality awareness throughout the organization.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for new product development and product changes.
  • Develop and refine Design and Process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Lead quality audits and support customer visits with facility tours and quality demonstrations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices and future trends.
  • Lead and/or support technicians and quality teams.
  • Communicate effectively across shop floor teams and customer management.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field OR five (5) years of equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or related field.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, measurement systems, and metrology.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience leading audits and supporting customer/supplier quality concerns.
  • Technical writing experience preferred.
  • OEM Supplier Portal experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with automotive seating regulations and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Experience with PLEX ERP system desired.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
