Job Title: Label Die Cutting Machine Operator

Job Summary

The Label Die-cutting Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die-cutting equipment. The equipment is designed to cut large rolls of label stock into finished rolls according to customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate die-cutting machine according to work orders and customer specifications.
• Load and unload rolls of label material safely and efficiently
• Load and unload proper tooling to die-cut label to correct size.
• Adjust blades, tension, spacing, and machine settings to ensure accuracy
• Monitor machine operation during production to maintain quality and minimize waste
• Inspect finished rolls for defects such as incorrect width, edge quality, or misalignment
• Measure and verify slit widths, roll counts, and core sizes per job requirements
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues and report mechanical problems to maintenance
• Complete production paperwork, job tickets, and quality records accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout as required

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience operating slitting, converting, or similar industrial printing machinery preferred
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools and measuring devices
• Ability to read work orders, job specifications, and safety instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in label converting, printing, or packaging environments
• Familiarity with pressure-sensitive labels, films, foils, or paper substrates
• Forklift or pallet jack experience (certification a plus)
• Basic computer or touchscreen machine interface skills

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs
