As part of our legal team, you’ll contribute to innovative projects that power the automotive industry while working at the heart of a collaborative, forward-thinking organization. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure efficient, compliant, and strategic contract management. This role reports to Senior In-House Counsel.
What You’ll Do:
- Review, negotiate, and draft customer agreements with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline contract administration processes.
- Advise on standard contract language and evaluate third-party provisions for risk and potential liability.
- Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for business personnel at all levels.
- Provide counsel on additional legal matters impacting the company as needed.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
What you bring:
- Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from an accredited law school.
- At least 3 years’ experience in contract negotiation and drafting, either in a law firm or as in-house counsel in a corporate setting.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Exceptional legal reasoning, analytical skills, and contract drafting expertise.
- Strong negotiation skills, sound judgment, and a flexible, problem-solving mindset to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Able to thrive independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills capable of distilling complex topics for both executive and associate-level audiences.
- Must be coachable and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
