Off Shift Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of approximately 10 hourly maintenance technicians, ensuring productivity and performance standards are met.
• Oversee the maintenance department and ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
• Maintain operational efficiency of machinery and mechanical systems by performing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
• Interpret technical diagrams, operating manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Identify equipment malfunctions by observing operations, listening for irregularities, and using precision measuring and diagnostic tools; perform necessary repairs.
• Adjust and calibrate functional components and control systems using appropriate hand tools and measuring devices.
• Minimize equipment downtime by coordinating with production staff and ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance procedures.
• Fabricate and repair parts using machine shop equipment and tools.
• Serve as a technical resource by responding to maintenance-related inquiries and providing guidance.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance reports by analyzing data, identifying trends, and documenting findings.
• Ensure effective communication across teams by documenting activities, issues, and ongoing maintenance needs.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems including 110 VAC and 240/480 VAC three-phase power.
• Support team objectives by contributing to additional tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Proven experience managing and leading a technical or maintenance workforce.
• Strong basic math, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and safety guidelines.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting 110 VAC and 240/480 VAC three-phase systems.
• Hands-on experience using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Working knowledge of welding, brazing, lathes, milling machines, and other machine shop equipment.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to work in elevated or restricted environments.
• Adequate vision and hearing to identify equipment issues and recognize warning signals or alarms.
• Must be open to working on both 2ND & 3RD Shift.
