Position Summary
The Electrical Technician supports the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. This role requires hands-on experience working with control boards and circuit boards, along with the ability to diagnose issues, perform component-level repairs, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with control boards, circuit boards, wiring, and electrical assemblies.
- Perform component-level repairs, including soldering, replacing parts, and verifying functionality.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and system improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Document work performed, parts used, and findings in maintenance logs or CMMS.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and electrical safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with control boards and circuit boards (diagnostics, repair, replacement).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and soldering equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional to include)
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or highreliability environment.
- Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and automation systems.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms.
