Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital based in Boaz, Alabama, seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for cats and dogs, and prides itself on compassionate service and strong client education.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 5:30pm, and every other Saturday from 8:00am until 1:00pm. The practice is closed on Sundays. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with Saturday coverage shared on a rotating basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality care across all areas of small animal medicine and surgery. The role includes wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, general surgery, dentistry, and client education. The hospital is looking for a compassionate doctor with excellent communication skills who enjoys working as part of a team. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates, with mentorship and support available.
Practice Details
This well-established hospital is fully equipped to deliver a wide range of services, including preventive wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, and boarding. The facility includes a dedicated surgical suite and treatment rooms, supported by modern diagnostic capabilities. The practice culture is warm and client-focused, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, education, and preventative healthcare.
Team
The team consists of two experienced veterinarians supported by a skilled group of technicians and support staff. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and well-suited to a doctor seeking either mentorship or the chance to work in a close-knit and community-driven setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
