Role overview

This strategic role is part of the North Supply Chain People Team within MDLZ's North America region, partnering with the SVP of U.S. Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L), to lead the People agenda across organization, talent, capabilities, culture, and labor relations. The U.S. CS&L organization is comprised of 4 functions: Planning (Demand, Supply, IBP, S&OE); Logistics & Direct Store Delivery (including a frontline hourly population across multiple distribution sites); Order to Cash; and CS&L PMO & Governance. The remit of this role includes hourly frontline employees, including a unionized population. This role will lead through a significant transformation agenda across the business and culture. Priority focus areas will be:

  • People Strategy & Workforce Planning: Own the end-to-end People strategy for CS&L across Organization, Talent, Capability, and Culture. Conduct workforce planning, leveraging data and analytics to proactively implement solutions that enable business strategy.
  • Talent: Own the end-to-end talent agenda. Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to attract high-caliber talent, onboard them into the business, and as well as build internal succession through development planning. Support compensation and recognition decisions as part of the talent strategy. Build career paths within CS&L and across Supply Chain.
  • Culture & Engagement: Partner with leaders to enable a growth culture that translates into employee engagement. Drive People Manager excellence and play a leadership role in our Integrated Lean Six Sigma program. Coach leaders and drive team effectiveness interventions with the team.
  • Org & Capabilities: Partner on organization design and implementation of people plans, accelerating core capability development in line with strategic plans.
  • Transformation: Provide thought leadership on CS&L transformation initiatives; lead the people strategy and oversee and guide the change strategy.
  • Labor: Partner with Labor Relations CoE to maintain positive relations with our employees and unions.
  • People Leadership: Lead a direct team of 7. Develop and coach the team to groom future leaders in the People team. Foster a culture of belonging to drive high engagement.

What you will bring - Experience & capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 15 years' HR experience including 10+ years of experience as an HRBP
  • HR experience across a range of populations with clear increasing responsibility, preferably within large FMCG/CPG or other large global manufacturing organization (e.g., pharma).
  • Prior experience in supply chain is strongly preferred; experience managing a frontline population (e.g., sales, manufacturing, logistics) is essential.
  • Prior experience with high performance work systems like lean six sigma, TPM preferred but not required.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership in HR. Can partner and influence on strategic priorities, with an active curiosity, insight orientation and external perspective about people and business performance.
  • Ability to build HR operating plans, people/capability roadmaps to enable people and business growth
  • Ability to develop close trusting relationships partnerships and coach senior function leaders.
  • Ability to create and lead change strategy and complex transformation, navigating a global matrixed organization.
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people, including your own direct team.
  • Future focused, thinking ahead and anticipating opportunities, leverage an outside in perspective through understanding of market trends.
  • Developer of talent within client groups and own team.

Role must be based in our North America HQ in East Hanover NJ. In office presence expectation is 3 days a week. Travel 25-30% based on business needs.

Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $174,100 to $287,265; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
