Quality Control Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and oversee the daily activities and performance of Quality Control Technicians
• Provide on-site supervision and support during concrete placement at job sites
• Perform and oversee weekly air and slump testing on both trucks and plant-produced concrete
• Ensure proper fabrication of concrete comparison cylinders at project sites
• Collaborate with the Lab Manager to develop, review, and execute concrete mix designs
• Manage customer service requests (CSRs), investigate quality concerns, and communicate findings to the Director of Technical Services and General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Ability to obtain DOT Batch Man and DOT Technician certifications within one year of hire
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation
• Capable of preparing clear, accurate reports and professional correspondence
• Effective verbal communication skills, including presenting information to customers and internal teams
• Advanced mathematical proficiency, including:
• Probability, statistical analysis, and basic geometry and trigonometry
• Use of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in environments with variable conditions and limited standardization
• Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions
• Proficient in computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, databases, graphics, and internet-based tools
