Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is an animal hospital in Oviedo, Florida, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their thriving practice. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for pets and is seeking a compassionate veterinarian who values teamwork, high-quality medicine, and excellent client communication.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 12:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. Both full-time and part-time options are available for this position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine animals to assess health and diagnose conditions, treat and dress wounds, perform surgery, test for and vaccinate against diseases, prescribe medications, and operate medical equipment such as digital X-ray. The role also involves advising pet owners on general care, medical conditions, and treatment options, while working closely with team members to deliver high-quality patient care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship opportunities available for those early in their careers.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is focused on delivering thorough, compassionate, and personalized veterinary care. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, urgent care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition support, pharmacy services, and end-of-life care. Equipment available includes digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house bloodwork capabilities. Team
The team currently consists of one DVM supported by a dedicated and experienced support staff. The working environment is collaborative and supportive, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, teamwork, and creating a positive and encouraging workplace.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
