Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a full service animal hospital in Green Cove Springs, Florida, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care with a strong focus on compassionate, individualized medicine for dogs and cats, serving patients from early life through senior care and end-of-life decisions.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm and is closed on weekends. The practice is also closed from 12pm to 2pm on the fourth Thursday of every month. Both full-time and part-time options are available for this role. No after-hours or weekend work is required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining animals to assess health and diagnose conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgeries, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, and prescribing medications. The role includes operating medical equipment such as digital radiography, advising pet owners on general care and treatment plans, and working closely with team members to deliver high-quality patient care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This hospital is dedicated to delivering high-quality, progressive veterinary medicine supported by modern tools and technology. The practice sees primarily dogs and cats and offers general practice and urgent care services alongside surgical and dental care. Facilities include three exam rooms and in-house diagnostic capabilities such as IDEXX chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis, digital radiography, and ultrasound. The practice also provides emergency and urgent care, hospitalizations, preventive and wellness services, senior care, dentistry, diagnostic care, and additional services including extended surgical procedures, laser therapy, Phovia, dermatology, and geriatric care.

Team
The team consists of two DVMs supported by a tenured and highly experienced support staff. The environment is described as friendly, collaborative, and family-like, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, mutual support, and maintaining an enjoyable work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
