Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team at a busy Midtown Manhattan location. The practice provides veterinary care to companion animals and is hiring an experienced veterinarian for a part-time role, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position over time.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position, with doctors typically working 2-3 shifts per week, totaling approximately 16-24 hours. The hospital operates Monday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Tuesday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Thursday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Weekend coverage generally consists of either one full weekend per month or two individual weekend days per month.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality medical care within a fast-paced hospital environment that balances urgent care with general wellness services. Clinical responsibilities include wellness exams, sick visits, dermatology, urgent care, diagnostics, surgery including spays and neuters, dentistry, vaccinations, pain management, senior pet care, euthanasia services, acupuncture, travel certificates, telehealth visits, and overnight hospitalization.

The practice focuses on personalized, high-quality veterinary care through customized wellness plans tailored to individual patient needs. The Hell's Kitchen hospital is known for its diverse caseload, urgent care capabilities, and ability to manage high-volume days efficiently. Services offered include wellness care, diagnostics, overnight hospitalization, dentistry, surgery, acupuncture, nutrition support, telehealth, and access to specialists in orthopedics, cardiology, and internal medicine. Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by a strong and experienced support staff, maintaining a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, providing the support needed to deliver thorough, personalized care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
