Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their specialty and emergency facility providing care for companion animals, with some exotics. The hospital operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering advanced emergency and referral services within a collaborative specialty environment. This opportunity is suited to experienced emergency clinicians who want to work alongside multiple specialty departments while managing high-acuity cases in a fast-paced setting.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility within a 24-hour hospital that operates Monday through Sunday, open 24 hours a day. Scheduling is structured to support continuous emergency coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a high-acuity caseload within a specialty referral and emergency environment. Responsibilities include triaging and stabilizing emergency cases, diagnosing and treating critical conditions, and collaborating with specialty services including Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Oncology. The role involves utilizing advanced diagnostics to support clinical decision-making, delivering emergency procedures and treatments, maintaining clear communication with clients, and working closely with technicians and specialists to ensure continuity of patient care. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center and specialty referral facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology. Equipment includes 128-slice CT, 1.5T MRI, multiple ultrasound units including ICU ultrasound capability, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Emergency and critical care capabilities include aggressive analgesia, cardiac output monitoring, central venous pressure monitoring, continuous ECG monitoring and telemetry, direct blood pressure monitoring, mechanical ventilation, nasal and transtracheal oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, end tidal capnography, and transfusion therapy. The hospital functions within a teaching environment that supports clinical collaboration, case discussions, and mentorship.

Team
The hospital is supported by 15 DVMs and a great tenured support team, including experienced emergency technicians and an ECC VTS, creating a collaborative environment focused on advanced patient care and team-based medicine.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
