About the role:
Great opportunity for a new grad looking to start a secure career. We are seeking a talented Sales Support Assistant to join our New York City Sales Office. In this role, you will support the sales organization while owning the day-to-day operations and management of the NYC showroom, ensuring a seamless, professional experience for clients, partners, and internal teams. An ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, team player, and takes pride in being the go-to resource who keeps operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the sales team with daily account management
- Assist with order entry, order tracking, and order confirmations
- Communicate order status, shipping updates, and delivery timelines to sales reps and customers
- Help prepare line sheets, price lists, catalogs, and sales presentations
- Maintain accurate open order files
- Maintain working knowledge of account logistics and retailer requirements
- Process purchase orders, reorders, and sample requests
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Track backorders, shortages, and allocations, and help propose solutions
- Manage sample inventory, including tracking, organization, and returns
- Prepare samples for sales appointments, market weeks
- Support showroom setup, line reviews, and seasonal selling periods
- Pull and maintain sales reports, order summaries, and account performance data
- Track best sellers, reorder trends, and seasonal performance
- Act as a liaison between sales, design, production, planning, and logistics
- Communicate issues clearly and proactively to prevent delays or errors
- Support problem resolution related to orders, inventory, or customer needs
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Resolve order issues, shortages, and shipping discrepancies
- Help maintain sales calendars, key deadlines, and follow-ups
- Perform any duties as assigned in support of account management and operations
Requirements:
- Degree level education preferable
- 1+ years’ experience in the fashion industry
- Computer literate
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with high SKU count
- The ability to learn new systems quickly
