We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer II to ensure customer satisfaction through the robust design and development of exterior automotive lighting products, guiding them from initial concept to production. You will play a crucial role in meeting regulatory requirements and developing innovative solutions.
Responsibilities- Ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing the design and development of exterior automotive lighting products from concept to production.
- Conduct feasibility studies to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Perform DFMEA, design reviews, and fault tree analysis (FTA).
- Identify, investigate, and resolve design issues efficiently.
- Research and develop new technologies applicable to product design.
- Create detailed 2D/3D component and assembly drawings, along with bills of materials (BOMs).
- Verify design accuracy through mock-up and tooling trials.
- Ensure design compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
- 3 to 5 years of CAD experience with CATIA V5 or V6.
- Familiarity with FMVSS 108 and other global lighting regulations.
- Understanding of electrical circuits and LED operation.
- Experience with automotive design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ANSYS SPEOS, LUCIDSHAPE CAA V5, and Moldex3D.
