Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time 

Schedule: Monday – Friday (No on-call responsibilities)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. In this role, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families at our outpatient mental health clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents presenting with a wide range of behavioral and emotional disorders.
  • Medication Management: Provide evidence based psychopharmacological treatment and ongoing medication management, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a collaborative team of LCSWs and therapists to develop and implement holistic treatment plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain timely, accurate, and comprehensive medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Supervision & Teaching: Opportunity to supervise psychiatry and pediatric residents.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New York.
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Experience:
    • Experience working in community psychiatry or an urban outpatient setting is preferred.
    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly desirable but not required.
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to cultural humility and patient centered care.
