Our client is a hospital providing urgent-care veterinary services, seeking a veterinarian to join their team. They care for dogs and cats and specialise in urgent medical care rather than wellness or routine preventive medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The clinic operates evenings, weekends, and holidays to cover after-hours urgent care needs. The schedule is flexible, with swing/second-shift availability rather than standard daytime hours. The role supports a varying caseload during the clinic's open hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will manage a varying caseload of urgent care cases for dogs and cats - including common urgent problems like wounds, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhoea, and euthanasia. The role does not include wellness or preventive care, and excludes abdominal surgeries. The veterinarian is expected to work collaboratively with the clinical team and leadership, support and mentor support-staff through internal training programs, and provide compassionate, relationship-based care. The role prioritises urgent care and is suited to those comfortable handling acute medical issues rather than routine wellness.

The clinic is designed as a modern, paperless facility focused exclusively on urgent veterinary care for pets. It is equipped with digital X-ray, in-house laboratory equipment, and cloud-based EMR for efficient record-keeping. The environment is tailored to reduce stress and maximize efficiency, with dog- and cat-specific exam rooms and separate spaces for large and small dogs. Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
