PASTA CLERK (PT) - PORT JEFFERSON STATION

Our Port Jefferson Station store is currently seeking a Part-Time Pasta Clerk to join our Pasta & Mozzarella Department . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on pasta making and thrives in a gourmet food environment. Pasta Clerks play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience through quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and outstanding service.

In this position, you will be responsible for producing fresh pasta, packaging products, and merchandising items to ensure our shelves are stocked and visually appealing for our customers.

• Complete daily production batches and maintain accurate production records

• Prepare fresh pasta products in accordance with company recipes and standards

• Weigh, package, and label pasta for freezer and refrigerated sales

• Perform quality control checks throughout production and packaging

• Inspect finished products to ensure appearance and quality standards are met

• Monitor code dates, labels, seals, and overall product integrity

• Handle and manage pasta inventory with care to prevent product damage

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area

• Safely operate all department equipment used in pasta production

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Minimum of 1 year of pasta-making experience required

• Experience with packaging and/or production operations preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping

• Trained in and compliant with company food safety and sanitation standards

• Ability to maintain department conditions in accordance with GMPs, company policies, and regulatory requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and communicate effectively in English

• Commitment to quality and a passion for learning the art of pasta making

• Continuous movement on hard surfaces throughout the shift

• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, stooping, and positioning to handle products and equipment

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; heavier items may be lifted with assistance

• Work performed in an indoor production environment with moving machinery and occasional loud noise

• Exposure to temperature variations from freezers, ovens, and coolers

• Occasional exposure to cleaning agents and sharp or industrial equipment
