Our office is looking to hire a full time Optician

Do you have a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy working with people? We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, well-organized, with an interest in eye health, fashion, and a desire to improve people's quality of life. Your job will be to help our patients pick out the perfect eyewear. You'll suggest specific glasses, take measurements, adjust frames, and show customers how to rock their new specs or contacts.
As part of the optical team, you'll collaborate with all our staff, doctors, and report to our Office Manager.

Our opticians are vital team members and assist in the efficient flow of the office and improve the patient experience while providing outstanding personal customer service.

What You'll Be Up To:

• Collaborate with optometrists to provide comprehensive eye services.
• Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear, including frames and lenses.
• Take accurate measurments to ensure proper filt of eyewear.
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and matenance.
• Use a manuel lensometer to verify eyewear
• Fix and repair broken eyewear
• Keep tabs on frame and conct lens inventory to make sure we have what are customers need.
• Maintain accurate records and handle billing and orders of glasses and contacts in the EHR
• Take patient calls and set up appointments

What We're Looking For:

• Our dream candidate will have 1-3 years minimum of optical sales. 
• Excellent communication skills
• Top-notch customer service skills to connect with patients/customers
• Ability to juggle tasks and stay on top of things in a fast-paced setting
• Know-how in optics for both contacts and glasses 
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• A love for fashion and eyewear
