Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance of manufacturing and facility systems. This role requires knowledge of CNC and laser equipment, as well as finishing systems, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a wide range of equipment and processes, while also contributing to preventative maintenance planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced maintenance on CNC machines, laser cutters, and other manufacturing systems.
- Maintain and repair finishing equipment including blasters, bowl vibrators, and Ransohoff flow-through parts washers.
- Develop, document, and perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures across all production and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including interpreting wiring diagrams and working with voltages from 110V single-phase to 480V three-phase power.
- Execute safe and effective electrical workstation and equipment power drops for various voltage configurations.
- Install and maintain industrial fans, both for process and facility ventilation or cooling needs.
- Repair and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic processing equipment, including pumps, cylinders, valves, and controls.
- Weld and fabricate custom components, supports, and safety guards using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding methods.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to optimize equipment uptime and performance.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, PM schedules, and equipment service history.
- Mentor junior maintenance staff and lead by example in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while ensuring compliance across work areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role.
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing:
- CNC and laser systems
- Blasting, vibratory, and parts-washing (Ransohoff) equipment
- Screw-type air compressors and dryers
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems - Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience performing electrical installations and modifications from 110V to 480V.
- Skilled in welding and metal fabrication (MIG/TIG preferred).
- Ability to install and troubleshoot industrial ventilation systems and fans.
- Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance documentation tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently and in team environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
