Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic seeking a Mixed Animal Associate Veterinarian to join their close-knit and community-focused team. The practice provides care for small animals, large animals, equine, and exotics, offering a varied and rewarding caseload. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are eager to grow their skills in a supportive environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with Saturday hours from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with flexibility for those seeking a diverse schedule that includes both in-clinic work and farm calls.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including small animal care, large animal services, and equine medicine. Clinical duties include surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, wellness and vaccinations, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, end-of-life care, and emergency services. The position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available to support development across all areas of mixed animal practice.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, diagnostic laboratory machines, in-house and off-site laboratory services, large and small animal ultrasound, VetScan Imagyst, gas anesthesia, ProVet cloud-based software with remote access, a heated back area for large animals, and a hydraulic chute for livestock handling. Services include wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, large animal services, and emergency care. The practice culture is rooted in strong client relationships, flexibility, and a commitment to providing accessible, high-quality veterinary medicine.
Team
The clinic has three DVMs supported by a collaborative team. The environment is relationship-driven and mentorship-focused, offering veterinarians the chance to learn and grow while working alongside supportive colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
