Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital and is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice is a newly built, full-service small animal hospital providing general veterinary services to dogs and cats within a friendly, community-oriented environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The role offers flexible scheduling options, with the opportunity to work three, four, or five days per week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality veterinary care with a focus on medicine and surgery. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, internal medicine, diagnostics, spay and neuter procedures, routine and dental surgery, dentistry, dermatology, senior pet care, urgent pet care, allergy care, and client communication. The role involves developing strong relationships with clients through clear explanations of examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates, with training and support available for new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a newly built facility of over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with modern, high-quality equipment. This includes laser surgery, sevoflurane and isoflurane anesthesia, cardiac and respiratory monitoring, pulse oximetry, EKG, blood pressure monitoring, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, power lift tables, computers in exam rooms, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. Services offered include general veterinary services, advanced internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, digital X-rays, ultrasound imaging, in-house laboratory testing, advanced imaging, pet nutrition, and senior pet care. The culture is described as laid-back and collaborative, with regular staff and doctor meetings and a strong focus on quality care.

Team
The veterinary team consists of two DVMs supported by experienced support staff, with a reported support staff to doctor ratio of 3:1. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and designed to promote both professional development and work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
