Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise field installation of heavy mechanical systems and equipment on industrial construction sites.
Direct rigging, setting, alignment, and anchoring of machinery such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, and robotic systems.
Manage and schedule labor including millwrights, welders, pipefitters, and rigging crews.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and maintain installation standards.
Interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, submittals, and manufacturer installation guides.
Enforce jobsite safety policies and lead toolbox talks and safety audits.
Resolve field issues related to alignment, clearance, and system integration.
Track productivity, maintain daily logs, and prepare look-ahead schedules.
Participate in system start-ups, commissioning, and turnover procedures.
Minimum 7+ years of mechanical construction experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
Proven experience with rigging, machinery alignment, and industrial system installation.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, mechanical safety standards, and hazard mitigation practices.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, equipment layout drawings, and installation instructions.
Experience working in high-volume environments such as manufacturing plants, utilities, or refineries.
Familiar with field software like Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain).
NCCCO rigging or crane certification is a plus.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel extensively for long-term assignments.
Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
