Job Description


Pacific Landscape Management is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Tree Climber to join our close-knit, collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and a strong understanding of arboriculture. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for safely climbing trees to perform trimming, maintenance, and care tasks that contribute to the health and aesthetics of our clients' landscapes. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees.
• Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower branches and debris from heights.
• Operate lift and other equipment for tree care tasks.
• Cleanup job sites and participate in ground operations when needed.
• Assess tree health during jobsite walk arounds.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Strive to play your part in maintaining a positive work environment.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS
• Be proficient in tree climbing with rope and harness as well as rigging.
• Knowledgeable in tree care practices, including trimming, pruning, and overall maintenance meeting ANSI standards.
• Background in landscaping or arboriculture is highly desirable.
• Strong physical fitness to handle the demands of climbing and working at heights.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Valid driver's license.skills to work effectively within a team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing equipment for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, branches, and tools weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.Must be able to maintain physical endurance for 8–10 hours of strenuous outdoor work, including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and balancing.

Must be able to use hand and power tools overhead and at awkward angles while maintaining stability aloft.

Must have sufficient hand–eye coordination to tie knots, handle rigging, and operate saws safely and accurately.

Must be able to work in all outdoor conditions common to Washington State, including rain, heat, cold, wind, and uneven terrain.

Must be able to tolerate exposure to sawdust, pollen, insects, and other environmental factors.

Must have adequate vision and hearing to identify hazards, respond to instructions, and recognize warning signals.
