Folder Operator

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Able to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
• Communicates clearly and effectively with manufacturing personnel
• Possess basic computer skills; familiarity with PSI is an advantage
• Maintains accurate and complete daily records for data collection and reporting
• Consistently meets company and departmental standards, including customer requirements, compliance, safety, and quality expectations
• Adheres to the company ISO Quality Procedures, work instructions, and completes required forms and checklists
• Complied with company policies as outlined in the company handbook
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and support other departments as business needs require
• Performs additional duties as assigned
• Participate in department and company meetings
• Supports the training of new and temporary employees
• Follows team leader direction for all bindery operations
• Demonstrates proficiency in folding using a wide range of configurations
• Capable of folding paper stocks ranging from 27 lb text to 120 lb cover
• Performs routine maintenance on folding machines, including daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe production floor and work area
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as required
• Capable of pushing and pulling loaded pallet jacks and rolling carts
• Regularly lifts to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
• Communicates job-specific issues and relevant production details to the next shift as needed

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience operating folding machines in a commercial printing environment.
