The Regional Vice President of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the planning and management of the overall sales, catering, and revenue management efforts for MCRs Regional Hotel Portfolio. The Regional Vice President of Sales is responsible for assisting each property with short/long term planning and day to day operations of the hotels sales & marketing department. The Regional Vice President of Sales is also responsible for supporting the tactical planning, project assignments, and execution of sales, marketing, public relations, and e-commerce distribution. Provides regular oversight of all top-line revenue activities including, but not limited to forecasting, pricing, eCommerce, market share penetration, advertising, and marketing.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction, operational oversight and performance accountability for the portfolios regional sales functions

Oversee the development, implementation and achievement of the portfolios annual business and marketing plan objectives

Provide leadership, guidance, and assistance relating to the execution of sales functions, policies, and standards

In collaboration with the Vice President of Sales and Regional Vice President of Operations, set the sales function organizational goals, strategies, forecasting, reporting and measurement for the portfolio

In collaboration with the Creative Department develop marketing goals, strategies, forecasting, reporting, and measurement for the portfolio

Direct the coordination of ongoing research of the travel industry local and national market to detect market trends and related information for the development of new revenue strategies.

Partner with the Acquisition & Development team in the development of value proposition documents, pitches, and sales strategy and analysis for newly proposed properties

Develop team and financial requirement forecasts for Sales and Marketing. Consolidates projections into operating and capital expenditure budgets.

Work cross-functionally across the organization to develop a winning marketing plan and go-to-market strategy for new and existing product lines, helping all to understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target client needs

Communicate newly acquired accounts to region and property and formulate action plans.

Approve region and hotel-level tactical sales and marketing plans to support overall system-wide sales plans/strategies and programs.

In connection with the Regional Directors of Operations, develop an overall plan for staffing needs to meet sales and marketing activities envisioned in the companys strategic and operational plans.

Oversee negotiated contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies. Initiate the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers primarily of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and/or banquet date, space, and rate availability.

Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the Companys reach within its current customer base.

Other duties as assigned

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales

Qualifications

Must have 3+ years of above property experience leading a Sales & Marketing Function across multiple-brands and locations.

Must have 3+ years of experience in a full-service hotel leading Sales & Marketing

Experience working with third-party ownership preferred

Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills and customer service experience

An aptitude for self-motivation

A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach

Strong computer skills

The position will require a flexible schedule with the ability to travel that allows you to be available days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel and clients.

100% travel is required for this position
