General Practice Veterinarian (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital that provides care for cats and dogs and is currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This full-service clinic offers both general practice and urgent care services, giving doctors the opportunity to manage a diverse and rewarding caseload.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM, with Sundays closed. Veterinarians work four days per week with rotating Saturday shifts. Each day includes a protected lunch hour from 12-1 PM. Appointments are scheduled in 15-30-minute intervals, and drop-offs are accepted with DVM approval. The case mix typically includes 50% wellness, 20% urgent care, 20% surgery, and 10% dental. This position offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time schedules.

Daily responsibilities include managing a balanced caseload of wellness, surgical, dental, and urgent care cases. For more than 20 years, this hospital has been a trusted part of the Wallisville community. They provide a wide range of services while maintaining a welcoming, small-town feel. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, Tonopen, in-house laboratories, laser therapy, Phovia light treatment, Scribble AI note-taking, and EVET/Pulse. Services include general practice, urgent care, dentistry, spay/neuter, soft tissue surgeries, wellness and preventive care, and pre-surgical imaging and labs.

Team
The team consists of one primary doctor with relief coverage on Saturdays and Mondays. The hospital maintains a strong doctor-to-technician ratio of 1:3-4, supporting an efficient and collaborative work environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
