Role : Operations Manager Behavioral Health Practice
Location : Columbus, Ohio (OnOutpatient Outpatient site)

Position Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee the administrative and operational functions of
the practice, ensuring compliance with state and national regulatory standards
(including OMHAS and Joint Commission requirements). This role is responsible for
developing, implementing, and optimizing systems that support consistent, efficient, and
compliant operations across all aspects of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight
Ensure full compliance with OMHAS and Joint Commission standards.
Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and renewals.
Collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to ensure policies and procedures align with current regulations and best practices. Licensing, Credentialing, and Payer Relations
Oversee credentialing and recredentialing processes for all licensed providers.
Manage EDI enrollments, payer registrations, and ongoing payer compliance activities.
Maintain provider databases, monitor expirations, and ensure accurate and timely updates with payers.
Operational Process Development
Design, document, and monitor workflows for client intake, insurance verification, clinical documentation, staff onboarding, and ongoing education.
Standardize processes to promote efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across departments.
Develop systems for tracking compliance, quality, and performance metrics.
Strategic Collaboration
Partner with leadership to refine organizational policies on fee structures, emergency planning, clinical documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support internship program development, community and university partnerships, and practice growth initiatives.
Participate in strategic planning sessions and implement initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Industry and Practice Advancement
Stay informed about emerging trends in behavioral health, payer requirements, and regulatory changes.
Recommend and implement proactive adjustments to maintain operational and compliance excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or
related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 3 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in behavioral health or outpatient services .
Strong knowledge of OMHAS , Joint Commission, and payer compliance requirements .
Demonstrated experience managing credentialing and insurance enrollment processes.
Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize operational systems and workflows.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with EHR systems, payer portals, and data management tools.
