Brown & Brown is Seeking a Sr ETL Integration Developer to join our growing team.
The Senior ETL/Data Integration Engineer leads the design and architecture of complex data integration solutions. This role drives innovation, mentors junior engineers, and ensures alignment with enterprise data strategy and governance.
How You Will Contribute
- Architect and lead development of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and integration frameworks.
- Optimize performance, security, and maintainability of data workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic goals.
- Conduct data profiling and propose quality improvement strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements.
- Maintain enterprise data architecture blueprints, including data models, integration patterns, and metadata standards.
- Follow architectural guardrails for data movement, storage, and access across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data solutions.
- Ensure alignment with data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Guide the selection and implementation of data tools, platforms, and frameworks.
- Lead data architecture components of application modernization efforts, including re-platforming legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
- Help evaluate emerging technologies and trends to inform architectural decisions.
- Support the development of reusable data assets, including canonical models, APIs, and semantic layers.
- Mentor technical teams on best practices in data engineering.
- Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure consistency and delivery excellence.
- Serve as a thought leader and advocate for data-centric design across the organization.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data integration and engineering.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud-native data services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing modern data platforms (e.g., data lakes, lakehouses, data mesh).
- Knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), metadata management, and data lineage.
- Strong command of SQL, data integration (ETL/ELT), and cloud-native data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience with data governance, privacy, and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, data classification).
- Familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines and support for model development and monitoring.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience.
Pay Range
$80,000 - $120,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
