Job Description Join a global leader in ice cream production solutions, renowned for delivering innovative machinery and packaging systems. This role focuses on designing equipment such as cone and tub fillers, plate hardening tunnels, and sustainable packaging systems, ensuring precision, efficiency, and reliability in all creations. The company operates three production plants in the US, offering cutting-edge solutions for the ice cream industry. Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for ice cream filling, hardening, and packaging equipment.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks or similar software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, operations, and R&D to ensure design feasibility and performance.
- Develop and test prototypes to validate mechanical concepts and optimize performance.
- Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to ensure structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, mechanical, and environmental standards.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Maintain documentation including design specifications, test results, and revision history.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and sustainability goals.
- 2+ years experience in design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of machinery.
- 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with pneumatics, servo actuators, chain drives, and stainless steel fabrication.
- Experience designing packaging or automated filling equipment.
- Understanding of sanitary design principles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Experience using Solid Edge for 3D modeling.
