The sales trainer role will report into the CoverMyMeds Commercial Operations business and engage in key training initiatives that support the sales and account teams for biopharma, pharmacy, and provider. This role will report to the Director of Commercial Capabilities Training and will ensure customer-facing teams are effectively trained on CoverMyMeds (CMM) solutions via pre/live/virtual/post training programs. This includes selling skills, product knowledge, business acumen and customer engagement capabilities needed by the Segment or BU.
With a focus on the development of a culture of continuous improvement, this role will support sales and account training activities including support in development and execution of training programs. This includes new hire training, development programs for desired competencies, new solution launches, and developing initiatives for sales meetings (National Sales Conference). The sales trainer will partner with stakeholders across marketing, product, and sales to achieve educational outcomes that will support confidence and clarity in role for the sales and account teams.
Skills/Experience:
- Partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams to support in the development of training programs for our customer facing teams. This includes improvement of skills enabling greater achievement of business objectives.
- Facilitate training workshops and related activities to support the promotion of CMM solutions through product/marketing strategies and tactics.
- Ensure customer-facing teams have right tools and skills to maximize their performance (content, training and knowledge) to effectively position our solutions to customers and do their jobs effectively/efficiently.
- Ensure ready access of the right content by the right customer-facing teams at the right time, in the right place in the customer journey and that teams are well versed in content and messaging (both for existing products and new product launches).
- Responsible for content support and delivery at major events such as National Sales Conference, selling acumen training sessions (live and virtual) and product launches.
- Measure effectiveness of programs through post-meeting survey instruments and customer facing team feedback. Develop plans to address concerns and support the implementation of the solutions.
- Support the evaluation and development of new training platforms.
- Facilitator certification in selling models (Challenger, SPIN Selling, Richardson) a plus.
- Display confidence in and comfort level with a cross functional team structure and adept at collaboration/influence management.
- Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously. Ability to work with third party vendors to create compliant, cost-efficient customer focused training programs.
- Able to operate effectively independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a rapidly growing environment with a high volume of change and ambiguity.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate to diverse audiences.
- Drive collaboration and best practice sharing amongst various teams.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 4+ years of experience in Sales Training, Sales Enablement, or direct sales roles
- Demonstrated success as a facilitator or trainer, ideally in a sales or customer-facing environment
- Strong presentation and public-speaking skills
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication abilities
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for training sessions and off-site meetings
- Experience with instructional design and development of training content (technology and/or healthcare experience is a plus but not required)
- Familiarity with content management systems or training repositories preferred
- Location near Columbus, Ohio Hub office is preferred but not required
