Position Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team. The ideal candidate will prepare nutritious and delicious meals in accordance with dietary needs, food safety standards, and established menus. This is a hands-on position that requires strong culinary skills, time management, and a heart for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Measure, mix, and assemble ingredients; perform food prep including chopping, slicing, and dicing.
- Operate and maintain cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures in compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor food portions, presentation, and quality to ensure consistency.
- Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and receiving food deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and dining staff to ensure timely service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times.
- Adapt to changing needs and schedules as required by kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current ServSafe® Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in commercial kitchens, healthcare dining, or institutional food service preferred.
- Excellent knife skills and understanding of various cooking methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to employment.

Job Type & Schedule
- Full-Time position (includes weekends and holidays as scheduled)
Salary: $18 - $22 per hour based on experience
