Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems, including load calculations, air and piping distribution, and equipment selection.
- Prepare design layouts and schematics for commercial and industrial mechanical systems.
- Conduct design reviews and correspond with clients, colleagues, owners, and contractors.
- Perform fieldwork for design investigation and construction observation.
- Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve a completed coordinated design.
- Conduct on-site investigations to confirm existing conditions.
- Develop familiarity with current mechanical codes and standards.
- Build relationships with personnel from other disciplines and manufacturing sales representatives.
- Prepare general and mechanical specifications.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Revit.
- Minimum of 2 years in Mechanical Design.
- Strong knowledge of engineering calculations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer or Electrical Engineer/Designer for building systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit for producing construction documents for commercial building projects.
- Experience in healthcare or government-related projects is not required.
