Manufacturing Stockroom Clerk

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for materials, equipment, and supplies. This position ensures that all items are received, issued, and tracked properly through database systems while supporting production by processing pick lists, pulling and routing parts to designated departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate inventory records of all stocked materials and components.

• Record receipts, transfers, and disbursements of inventory items using computerized systems.

• Process pick lists for production jobs by pulling, ordering, and routing parts to appropriate departments.

• Conduct routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between system and physical stock.

• Generate and maintain reports for material movement and inventory availability.

• Order and restock shop supplies as needed.

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move materials throughout the facility.

• Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, and driving tasks when necessary.

• Maintain organized, labeled storage areas and follow all safety and housekeeping procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing inventory or stockroom experience required.

• Basic math and computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

• Experience with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., Made2Manage or similar) preferred.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

• Forklift certification or ability to become certified required.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate clearly and work both independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 40 lbs without wheels.

• Frequent walking, standing, and bending.

• Work performed primarily indoors in a manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to moderate noise, temperature changes, and warehouse equipment.

• Must follow PPE and safety guidelines at all times.
