RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigate, analyze, and resolve production or new-model development quality issues through audits, defect analysis, and cross-functional improvement activities.
Examine internal quality issues on products, processes, and equipment using data analysis and statistical techniques.
Serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Establish, maintain, and monitor quality standards for consistency in production.
Prepare PQCTs using FMEA and GPAC-V to ensure all potential failure modes are addressed.
Participate in process audits and corrective action reviews to resolve deviations from quality standards.
Document, track, and communicate customer and internal product concerns through reports and performance metrics.
Analyze monthly performance data to identify improvement opportunities and lead corrective initiatives.
Coordinate packaging trials with relevant departments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Train and mentor new engineers in a hands-on setting.
Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3–6 years (Engineer II) or 4–7 years (Engineer III) of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with quality functions in the automotive supplier industry; familiarity with Japanese automakers and JIT environments preferred
Working knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, PQCT, capability studies, and GD&T
Plastic injection molding and process improvement experience highly desirable
Understanding of ISO 9000 and AIAG standards
WORK CONDITIONS
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Split between general office (≈ 4 hours/day) and manufacturing environment (≈ 4 hours/day)
Occasional overnight travel for training or site support
Required overtime as needed to meet customer deadlines
