Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Financial Auditor to join their team. As a Financial Auditor, you will be part of the Internal Audit Department supporting compliance, risk management, and financial integrity initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Remote (with relocation to San Jose, Costa Rica required)

What's the Job?

  • Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments and functions.
  • Analyze financial statements and assess risk areas to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate internal control systems and recommend enhancements to strengthen financial processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS, US GAAP, and local tax regulations, supporting compliance initiatives.

What's Needed?

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in financial auditing, either internal or external.
  • Strong knowledge of International Auditing Standards, IFRS, and Costa Rican tax laws.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit tools such as ACL, IDEA, or SAP.
