Associate Attorney - Family Law (Hybrid)

Meagher & Geer, PLLP has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing practice in Minneapolis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting high-level Family Law Partner with representation of clients in family law cases such as divorce, custody, child support, post-decree, spousal maintenance, domestic abuse, and other related issues.
• Drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, Judgments and Decrees, and mediation packages
• Assist clients in Court and mediations
• Assist Attorney in preparing and drafting Marital Estate Balance Sheets. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is a must.
• Conducting legal research and drafting of research memos
• Collaborating with senior attorney and legal staff
• Maintain regular client communication and case updates, including e-mail communications with Clients
• Assist with Client intakes and calendar management
• Must be motivated for high-level case load and fast-paced practice

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school and admitted to the Minnesota bar
• 3+ years of experience practicing family law
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
• Proven Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
