Job Description
Summary: The Jr. Staff Accountant handles accounting tasks such as reconciliations, GL entries, and fixed assets, resolves customer queries, performs analysis and reporting, and ensures accurate, timely financial operations.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, 1 Saturday(s) a month from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $30 to $35 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $60,000 and $70,000 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting in compliance with established accounting principles and deadlines.
 - Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger and bank accounts, and process necessary adjustments.
 - Investigate and resolve customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
 - Prepare and post general ledger entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
 - Maintain effective communication with customers via phone, email, or in person.
 - Conduct research and financial analysis to support decision-making and reporting.
 - Prepare and analyze reports using Excel to track financial performance.
 - Manage fixed asset accounting, including recording, depreciation, and reconciliation.
 - Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
 
Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
 - One (1) to Two (2) years of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred.
 - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
 - Excel proficiency with VLOOKUP and PivotTables
 - Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
 - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
 - Strong planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring skills.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
 - Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.
 - Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
