Associate Optometrist

Join Our Team as an Associate Optometrist!

Cardillo Eye Care - Dr. Dennis A. Cardillo is a well-established private practice located in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, just minutes from Philadelphia. We are currently seeking an OD to join our team on a part-time basis, working 2-3 days per week with NO WEEKENDS required. Our practice offers a wide range of services, including routine and comprehensive medical eyecare utilizing state-of-the-art equipment such as Zeiss OCT, OPTOS Daytona, and more. With 40 years of experience, we have a strong patient base and a full-time Optician on staff to provide full optical and contact lens services. 

Daily Responsibilities:

• Conduct eye exams and pre-testing
• Perform visual field testing and autorefraction
• Determine refractive errors and prescribe corrective lenses
• Evaluate and manage ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and cataracts
• Provide patient education on eye health and vision care

Required Skills:

• Doctor of Optometry degree
• Experience in eye care and contact lens fittings
• Proficiency in visual field testing and ocular disease management
• Knowledge of optometry practices and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Optomap and Optical Coherence Tomography
• Familiarity with patient recall systems and vision therapy
• Knowledge of refractive surgery procedures such as LASIK
• Understanding of low vision and ophthalmology practices

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $160,000 annually
• Vacation leave, holiday pay, and paid time off
• Yearly malpractice premiums covered
• 8-hour work days starting at $75-80/hour, with increases based on experience and productivity
