Our team is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our practice in Toms River, NJ. You will have the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment and technology, including corneal topography, fundus photography, visual field testing, and slit lamp examinations, while focusing on eye health awareness and managing conditions such as ocular pathology, glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy. Daily Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision tests, including side and back eye exams
Perform visual field testing, autorefraction, and slit lamp examinations
Assess, fit, and evaluate contact lenses, including specialty contact lenses, RGP, and scleral lenses
Provide myopia management for pediatric patients
Deliver full-scope medical model optometry care to diagnose, monitor, and treat ocular pathology, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, dry eye, and other ocular diseases
Required Skills:
Doctor of Optometry degree
New Jersey State license to practice optometry
Proficiency in refraction
Knowledge of ocular diseases, fundus photography, and treatment options
Ability to work with staff to provide excellent patient centered care
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Optomap and Optical Coherence Tomography
Familiarity with amniotic membranes
Ability to co-manage with ophthalmologists after eye surgery
Credentialed with most vision and medical insurances
Salary and Benefits:
Minimum Salary: $165,000.00
Maximum Salary: $185,000.00
