Position Summary
The Lead Superintendent is responsible for managing day-to-day construction site activities, leading field teams, and coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. This role requires a strong leader who can balance technical expertise with people management to drive successful project delivery.

Core Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership: Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labor to achieve milestones.
  • Quality Control: Enforce quality standards, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Safety Management: Promote and enforce a culture of safety on site; ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Communication: Act as the primary on-site liaison between field teams, project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Identify issues proactively and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and records of site activities.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide superintendents, foremen, and field staff to ensure professional growth and consistent performance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
  • Track record of successfully delivering large-scale commercial, multifamily, or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling software, MS Office Suite, and project management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (experience may substitute).
