The Los Angeles County Probation Department (LACP) is seeking experienced Deputy Probation Officers II from outside LA County to join the largest probation department in the nation. Be part of a team that’s transforming lives, reducing recidivism, and creating healthier, safer communities.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and guide probationers toward positive behavior change
• Investigate and evaluate adult and juvenile cases
• Monitor compliance and recommend actions to the court
• Prepare reports and recommendations for dispositions
• Mentor youth and adults while upholding public safety

(New hires spend one year in juvenile halls to learn LACP practices.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college/university
• At least one year as a Deputy Probation Officer II (outside LA County)
• Completion of POC + PC 832 or JCOC + PC 832
• No felony convictions
• Age 21+ at time of hire
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
